George Daley

George Daley is the Dean of Harvard Medical School and the Caroline Shields Walker Professor of Medicine at HMS. With expertise in stem cell science and cancer biology, his research explores the use of mouse and human disease models to uncover the mechanisms underlying blood disorders and cancer. In addition to his research, Daley has played a pivotal role in shaping international guidelines for stem cell research and its clinical applications, particularly through his leadership in the International Society for Stem Cell Research, where he served as president from 2007 to 2008. Daley has testified before Congress and addressed global forums on the scientific, ethical, and therapeutic implications of stem cell research.
