Jahnavi Phalkey

Jahnavi Phalkey is a historian of science and technology. At present, she is the founding director of Science Gallery Bengaluru. Phalkey was faculty at King's College London before taking on her current role, and has been a Fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. She is the author of Atomic State: Big Science in Twentieth Century India, and co-edited Science of Giants: China and India in the Twentieth Century. Jahnavi is the editor-in-chief of the British Journal for the History of Science – Themes, as well as South Asian Studies. She is director and producer of the documentary film, Cyclotron (2020). Jahnavi was awarded the Infosys Prize in the Humanities (2023).
